Spirituality & Welfare

Spirituality is central to Knights activities via Prayer, Scripture readings, Masses, Retreats, Pilgrimages and Seminars. The Spirituality and Welfare Officer looks after the Spiritual and Welfare needs of the Brothers and their Families.

Working alongside his committee, he ensures sick Brothers and Widows are contacted/visited regularly and offers support where possible for any welfare needs that may arise. Every two years Knights come together from across Great Britain for the deceased members’ Biennial Mass. This event commemorates and gives thanks to the Brothers that have gone before us. We are grateful for their service and the support of their families and especially their Widows.

In addition the Supreme Director for Spirituality & Welfare sends out condolence cards to widows and their families upon the passing of a fellow Knight.

Across the Order, Knights have a Council, Provincial and Central Benevolent Fund. The Benevolent Fund exists to assist Brothers, their dependents and persons entering the religious life that are judged to have welfare issues. The Benevolent Fund is administered by the Board of Trustees of the Council in accordance with the Rules of the Order as determined by The Supreme Council, who meet annually.
